Price your home right
It's now July and the market seems to become more of a balanced market, a change from the past few months here in Ottawa. The inventory is increasing and the number of sales transactions are decreasing, which is normal for the summer months.
Looking at the June stats we can see the trend. This does not mean that you can't sell your home, it just means that you need to price your home accordingly, with today's market conditions. A few months ago we were seeing multiple offers, bidding wars and even 21 showings in one day (this happened on one of my listings). This is not the case anymore. The buyers have more to choose from and they will take their time to find the right home. They now have the time because the houses will stay on the market a bit longer than before.
Make sure that your price is the right price because if your house is not priced properly you might risk having your home on the market longer than expected. There are still Buyers out there so make sure that the Buyers that are looking will come take a look at your home. Pricing your home in Ottawa will be more crucial than ever before. Don't be too greedy, just out it on the market at market value. Happy selling!!
